Cabinet meetings are so rare these days such that when there is one it is announced with fanfare. This is because President Mugabe prefers to gallivant around the world attending useless meetings instead of steering Zimbabwe out of its economic mess.

The next Cabinet meeting is set for next Tuesday when Mugabe returns from New York. "The Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Misheck Sibanda, yesterday announced that the next sitting of Cabinet will be on Tuesday July 14. “The Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Sibanda wishes to advise all members of Cabinet that the next Cabinet meeting will be held on Tuesday 14th July at the usual time and venue.
“Members of the Cabinet should, therefore, note and plan accordingly,” read the statement.
Tuesday is the traditional day that Cabinet sits but it can be shifted to any other day if Mugabe is aboard Air Zimbabwe.
