PSL action resumes

HARARE - Early pacesetters Chicken Inn will be hoping to consolidate their place at the top of the Castle Lager Premiership table when league action resumes this weekend.

The Premiership returns following a two-week break that paved way for the national team’s 2017 Afcon and 2016 Chan qualifiers.

The Gamecocks will hosts struggling new comers Dongo Sawmills at Luveve Stadium on Saturday.

CAPS United will begin life without Mark Harrsion with a date against Harare City on the same day.

Mark Mathe, who led the Green Machine to a 2-1 friendly win against Mozambican side Chingale de Tete over the weekend, will be in charge of the team for the first time in a competitive match.

Triangle have a date against ZPC Kariba at Gibbo Stadium.

In other matches set for the weekend, Dynamos and Highlanders are set to renew their rivalry when they clash at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.

Meanwhile, there is also uncertainty concerning Harlington Shereni’s testimonial which has been scheduled for this weekend.

Shereni’s testimonial match will see the national team take on an array of current and former European league superstars.

However, it is still not clear if the testimonial match is going ahead as planned after sources close to the goings told the Daily News yesterday it will be rescheduled for a later date.
