HARARE - St John's College student Kieran Vincent continued his fine run to clinch the Chapman Grand Slam 2015 at the Chapman Golf Club over the weekend.
Vincent shot a total of 219 in a 54 hole tournament that attracted a strong field of the country’s amateur golfers.
Behind Vincent was a three-way tie among Jack Allard, Stuart Krog and Ben Follet Smith on 220.
Others prizes saw former St George’s College student Krog emerge as the round one net winner while Tafadzwa Nyamukondiwa scooped the round three net winner as well as the overall net winner.
Vincent was the overall gross winner with Allard assuming second place.
As for Vincent it was another feather to his cap having emerged as the biggest winner of the Zimbabwe Golf Association (ZGA) awards ceremony held at Warren Hills Golf Club last month.
Vincent was over the moon after walking away with the Male Junior Golfer of the Year award ahead of Jack Allard and Justin Kirsten.
He later claimed the Most Improved Male Golfer award to sum up his inspired year.
That recognition came on the back of a great effort which saw the St John’s College student help Zimbabwe’s junior golf team finish 12th at the Toyota Junior Golf World Cup in Japan.
