A MAN who, with an accomplice who is still at large, broke into a house in Ruwa and stole valuables and cash amounting to US$190 000 has been arrested.
Cops tracked Blessing Kennes (28) down in Mbare, recovering thousands in loot and a gun linked to the break-in.

Police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the dramatic arrest, saying:
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms the arrest of Blessing Kennes (28) in connection with cases of unlawful entry into premises and theft, which occurred at a house in Springville, Ruwa, on 6th June 2025, where cash and valuables worth US$190 000 were stolen.”

Kennes and his partner in crime, Remember Glademore Fambauone, allegedly forced their way into the Ruwa home, pocketing US$182 050 cash, a Samsung S23 Ultra, and even a Derya pistol with two magazines loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition.
Acting on tip-offs, homicide detectives swooped on Tsiga Area in Mbare on August 13 and nailed Kennes.

“He was subsequently arrested, leading to the recovery of US$20 250 in cash and a Derya Pistol. The detectives also recovered a Toyota Nadia vehicle, which was bought with proceeds from the theft,” said Nyathi.
But Fambauone is still on the run after allegedly splashing the loot on a Crowhill property for US$10 000, a Nissan NV350 for US$14 300, and handing US$5 600 to his mother for safekeeping in Rusape.

So far, cops have clawed back US$55,150 worth of cash and property. But the big fish is still swimming.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of Remember Glademore Fambauone. Anyone with information should feel free to contact the National Complaints Desk on (0242) 703631, WhatsApp 0712 800 197 or report to any nearest Police Station,” Comm Nyathi added.
