Highlanders FC supporters have reacted with a mix of anger, despair and resignation following the confirmation that defender Arthur Ndlovu has left the Bulawayo giants on a permanent move to Manica Diamonds.
The Chronicle’s Facebook page was awash with emotional responses from Bosso faithful, many of whom believe the club is slowly being “killed” by the continued departure of key players.
A number of fans expressed deep frustration, with comments such as “Sebeyibulele” and “Yaphela iBosso” dominating the discussion, reflecting a growing sense of hopelessness among the club’s supporters.
Others questioned what is happening behind the scenes at the once-mighty club. “Ahhhhh kanti kwenzakalani kuBosso?” wrote Justice Nyoni, while Malvirn Fore asked: “Highlanders F.C kanty kuthen amaPlayer ehamba?”
Some supporters pointed fingers at the club’s leadership, accusing administrators of mismanaging the team. “Layibulala iTeam yethu sikhangele salonelani lina badalaaa,” wrote Phephisani Ndebele, while another fan lamented: “Sebeyibulele amakhehla.”
However, a section of the Bosso faithful appeared more understanding of Ndlovu’s decision, citing financial realities in local football. Mbusoi Mswatie Dhlamini commented: “Ama players adinga imali, they can’t play nje, Bosso need enough sponsorship to pay players.”
Ndlovu’s departure also reignited debate over Highlanders’ ability to retain talent, with some fans questioning why a solid centre-back was allowed to leave. “Yenzani silikhangele ungahambisa centre back eSolid kanti sibumba sidiliza,” wrote Nkosi Khumalo.
