British police have launched an international manhunt for a Zimbabwean man wanted in connection with the deaths of his wife and her two children after their bodies were discovered at a home in Bedfordshire.

Seasoned radio personality Ezra Tshisa Sibanda reported that Mkhanyisi Mark Tshuma is being sought by Bedfordshire Police in connection with the deaths of his wife, Nothabo Zandile Khumalo, and her two children, aged 15 and five.

The victims’ bodies were found at a property on Carnoustie Drive after officers forced entry on Monday following reports that the family had not been seen for several days.

Police have since launched a murder investigation and say Tshuma, who was known to all three victims, is wanted in connection with the case. Detectives believe he has fled the United Kingdom and have declared him a fugitive as efforts to trace him continue.

A senior officer from Bedfordshire Police described the incident as “deeply distressing.”

“This is a deeply distressing incident in which a mother and her two children are believed to have been murdered.”

Police said there is currently nothing to suggest there is any wider risk to the public, although patrols have been increased in the area while detectives continue their investigation.

Images from the scene showed police vehicles and forensic investigation units outside the property as officers gathered evidence.

Bedfordshire Police have appealed to anyone with information about the incident, the whereabouts of Tshuma, or anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area on Friday or Saturday, to come forward and assist the investigation.

A Zimbabwe trade mission is in Mozambique to pursue new export markets, investment opportunities and long-term commercial partnerships.

The three-day trade mission, organised by ZimTrade and running from July 7 to 9, has brought together a delegation of Zimbabwean businesses seeking to secure export contracts and strengthen economic ties with Mozambique.

The initiative forms part of broader efforts to increase Zimbabwe’s export earnings by promoting value-added products and deepening private sector cooperation within the Southern African region.

The opening day of the mission focused on showcasing trade and investment opportunities available in both Zimbabwe and Mozambique.

Manicaland minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Misheck Mugadza, described the Mutare-Beira Corridor as a vital economic artery linking Zimbabwe to global markets.

“The Mutare-Beira Corridor is the lifeline of our province’s commerce and of much of Zimbabwe’s trade with the world,” he said.

Mozambique’s secretary of State for Sofala Province, Manuel Rodrigues Alberto, said both governments have deliberately strengthened bilateral cooperation and now expect the private sector to translate those efforts into increased trade and investment.

“The two governments have been working deliberately to promote trade between our nations. The decisions of that Commission now require commercial momentum, and it is precisely that momentum which this mission is designed to generate,” he said.

ZimTrade representative Similo Nkala said the trade mission seeks to diversify Zimbabwe’s exports by increasing the share of processed and value-added products entering the Mozambican market.

“Zimbabwean companies can offer expertise and products such as seeds, chemicals, agricultural implements, as well as fertilisers. If we look at the current product of exports to Mozambique, it is mostly primary products; therefore, this mission will actually open doors for those companies that want to supply value-added products,” said Nkala.

Cabinet has approved the Zimbabwe gastronomy tourism strategy, (2026-2030), a policy framework that aims to position Zimbabwe as a competitive and sustainable tourism destination by 2030.

Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services minister, Soda Zhemu, said Cabinet had identified gastronomy tourism as a priority high-value tourism product capable of accelerating Zimbabwe’s tourism growth while promoting the country’s unique cultural identity.

“Zimbabwe’s gastronomy has emerged as a transformative force in the global tourism landscape, positioning the country as a hub of traditional culinary excellence. Rooted in Ubuntu, the tradition of sharing meals is a symbol of care and hospitality, uniting communities and generations,” he said.

Zhemu said gastronomy tourism offered a practical and scalable pathway for delivering socio-economic benefits across communities and sectors.

“To this end, the Zimbabwe Gastronomy Tourism Strategy (2026-2030) provides a structured policy framework to guide the development, coordination and institutionalisation of gastronomy tourism across the tourism value chain,” he said.

He said the strategy seeks to develop contemporary culinary expertise and innovation, establish gastronomy tourism as a catalyst for inclusive economic growth, diversify authentic culinary experiences and preserve Zimbabwe’s cultural food heritage.

“The guiding principles include preserving culture and heritage while fostering innovation, promoting inclusivity through empowering women, youth and persons with disabilities, strengthening partnerships among Government, the private sector, research institutions, academia and communities, and promoting sustainable practices that will drive economic growth for future generations,” said Zhemu.
