Presidential Advisor on Investment, Dr Paul Tungwarara has arrived in Binga where he is expected to distribute cars donated by President Mnangagwa to the Zanu PF leadership in the district including Christmas hampers to vulnerable community members under the Presidential Constituency Empowerment Fund.
He was accompanied by Zanu PF National Commissar Cde Munyaradzi Machacha.
He was welcomed at the Binga Airstrip by Zanu PF Politburo member Dr Sithembiso Nyoni, Matabeleland North Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Richard Moyo, ruling party Central Committee member Cde Joshua Muzamba and Binga North MP Cde Muchimba Chineka.
Scores of jubilant residents from all walks of life have already gathered at Freedom Square, the venue of the event.On Saturday, Dr Tungwarara disbursed US$25 000 in Presidential Constituency Empowerment Funds to Chimanimani East and Chimanimani West constituencies, as part of efforts to bolster local development and Cyclone Idai reconstruction initiatives. Dr Tungwarara’s visit underlines President Mnangagwa’s commitment to supporting local development and rebuilding efforts in cyclone-affected areas.
