HARARE – The Zimbabwean government has officially acquired the Monomotapa Hotel to provide accommodation for Members of Parliament, Finance Minister Prof. Mthuli Ncube announced.

The acquisition is intended to ensure the comfort and convenience of legislators during parliamentary sessions and national events, while also cutting costs previously spent on private accommodation.

“The move underscores the Government’s commitment to improving the welfare of Parliamentarians and enhancing institutional efficiency in the execution of legislative duties,” Prof. Ncube said.

The hotel, strategically located in the capital, is expected to serve as a permanent lodging facility for MPs, streamlining logistics during parliamentary activities.
