PRESIDENT MNANGAGWA has arrived here for the 24th COMESA Heads of State and Government Summit tomorrow.
The President was received at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Professor Amon Murwira, Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Zambia and COMESA Charity Charamba, Zimbabwe Ambassador to Kenya Winpeg Moyo and embassy staff.

The President’s attendance shows Zimbabwe’s commitment to deepening political and economic integration across Africa.
As the incoming chair of COMESA, Zimbabwe will host the next summit and steer the bloc’s agenda from 2026 to 2027.
Zimbabwe’s expected assumption of the COMESA vice chairpersonship demonstrates its growing leadership role in shaping Africa’s regional economic policies.
The summit provides a platform for President Mnangagwa to promote intra-African trade and investment and to champion economic reforms that support inclusive development.
The summit also aims to leverage digitalisation to deepen regional value chains for sustainable and inclusive growth.
