TWO 24 year old men from Victoria Falls have appeared in court following allegations of a harrowing ordeal in which a 15-year-old juvenile was reportedly gang-sodomised by the duo after being lured under the false pretence of being offered a job.
Simbarashe Ncube of Mkhosana suburb and Clinton Ndlovu of Chinotimba suburb appeared separately on Saturday before Victoria Falls Magistrate Mr Tafara Machaya.
Mr Machaya remanded both men in custody to 17 October 2025.
Prosecutor Ms Daphne Ntini told the court the near-identical sequences of events for the two separate but interconnected cases.
According Ms Ntini, the traumatic incident occurred on an unknown date in June 2025.
The 15-year-old complainant (name withheld), was with his 17-year-old brother, heading to a Nyawo traditional street dance when their path crossed with that of Clinton Ndlovu and an unnamed woman.
“Clinton Ndlovu then approached the complainant and his brother and invited them to go with them at his place of residence stating that he had a job for them. The complainant and his brother agreed and followed him and they went to house number (withheld) Chinotimba, Victoria falls,” she said.
Upon arrival at the house, which belonged to a man (name withheld), the situation quickly turned menacing.
The court heard that the room was divided by a curtain, with Simbarashe Ncube sleeping on the other side.
“Upon arrival the four of them got into a room. Clinton Ndlovu then locked the door and asked the complainant and his brother to have anal intercourse with them and in return he was going to give them money,” Ms Ntini told the court.
When the brothers refused, Ndlovu allegedly began issuing threats.
Fearing for their safety, they pretended to agree.
The older brother (name withheld), managed to escape by feigning a need to use the toilet.
Ndlovu and the woman then left the room, leaving the 15-year-old alone.
It was at this point, the prosecution alleges, that Simbarashe Ncube emerged.
“Ncube then came out from the other side of the room and asked to sleep with the complainant and he refused. Ncube then removed his clothes and forcibly removed the complainant’s trousers and pants, and had anal intercourse with complainant once without his consent,” Ms Ntini said.
The ordeal, however, was not over.
In a disturbing turn of events detailed in the case against Simbarashe Ncube, the prosecution alleges that after Ncube assaulted the juvenile, Clinton Ndlovu returned.
“Ndlovu then came back and Simbarashe Ncube then went out of the room. Ndlovu then asked to have anal intercourse with the complainant and he refused
“Ndlovu then removed his trousers and pants and forcibly removed the complainant’s trousers and had anal intercourse once without his consent,” she said.
After the brutal assault, the teenager was threatened with death if he ever revealed what had happened.
The trauma was compounded months later when the victim fell ill in August 2025.
A medical examination revealed he had tested positive for syphilis.
The secret was finally unveiled on 30 September 2025, when the complainant, carrying the physical and psychological scars of the attack, confided in his guardian, (name withheld) leading to the arrest of the two accused men.
