The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has raised the price of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) for the second time in as many months.

On Thursday, ZERA announced the new LPG price for May 2026 at US$1.95 per kilogramme.

In April, ZERA increased the price to US$1.85 per kilogramme, up from US$1.56 in March 2026.

ZERA said the new prices were set in line with the Petroleum (Liquid Petroleum Gas Pricing) Regulations, 90 of 2021. Operators can still sell below the official price if their trading conditions allow.

“Operators are advised to display the prices at their retail outlets at a prominent place in clearly legible letters. Please note that it is permissible to sell LPG at prices below the prescribed prices depending on one’s trading advantages,” ZERA said.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, ZERA said diesel and petrol prices will stay the same, after a small cut on 17 April 2026.

In a notice issued late on Tuesday, ZERA confirmed that Diesel 50 will remain US$2.09 per litre, and Blend E20 will stay at US$2.08 per litre. The prices run from 5 May 2026 to 15 May 2026.
